Why We are Passionate about Profit

All too often we forget the Goal of the business. Peter Drucker said the purpose of a business is to create customers, but what is the Goal?
The Goal is to make a Profit. It was most succinctly revealed in Eliyahu M. Goldratt’s novel by the sale name “The Goal”. But to do so, you must first “create a customer”.
Robert Benn’s Passion 4 Profit program is designed to dig deep into your operations and determine how you can better reach your goals. To do this he has developed an extensive short term program to identify the Sales, Production, People and Financial processes that are in your company today and then develops a set of initiatives to meet you goals as a businessperson. By working with you to make sure you remain on course we become your “Profit Coach”.
All programs, while custom tailored to your needs, start with the financials. Our objective: find out “What’s Great Now and What’s Not Great Yet?”
To determine this we evaluate past performances from good to great and determine what the base potential of the organization should be. We then meet with the principals to learn more about their vision of their company.
Once we have a clear understanding of what management believes is happening we work with the people that make it happen.
What we find is that because operations are the result of habit and custom, the vision of management and their hallucination of how things are happening in operations and the reality is often a chasm. By developing a full process index of what is actually occurring in your operations, we can then help you implement best practices that will get you to your goal.
Passion 4 Profits is all about results. We look at process in each operating and support area of your business. And we want to know if the current systems actually support today’s needs:
Does the current Sales Process actually help sales?
Does Sales support Production?
Does Production support Sales?
Are Accounting/Finance and IT effectively supporting Sales and Productions?
What is the role of Marketing?
Does Information freely flow between departments?
In other words, we look at the entire organization holistically and break down silos that keep your organization from being more profitable.
